Addressing the challenges together
The National Autistic Society

Welcome

Thank you for attending The NAS's Professional Conference. I hope you agree that it was an exciting event, and a valuable opportunity to make new contacts, and share knowledge with other professionals in your field.

I would like to thank the speakers for providing such interesting and insightful perspectives on the changing autism environment and the current challenges facing professionals. The presentations from both the plenary sessions and seminars are now available to download in the post event section.

We were also delighted to able to screen a short film from Phil Hope MP, Minister of State for Care Services, focusing on The Autism Act and the impact on service delivery. This provided an excellent introduction to the conference and helped to emphasise and reinforce the theme of Addressing the challenges together. You can find more information about The Autism Act and The National Adult Autism Stategy for England on The NAS website.

Lastly, I would like to thank those of you who completed the evaluation form at the conference. We are constantly looking for ways to develop and improve our events and your feedback helps us do this. If you have not already done so please visit the post event page to complete the form online or to download a pdf.

We are currently researching a conference on The National Adult Autism strategy, where we plan to highlight case studies around the UK of those affected. If you are interested in this subject please email us with the topics you would like us to focus on at the event.
